Holiday Update – Part 1

December 30 (Jackson, WY & PowMow, UT) —

We spent Christmas in Jackson and made ourselves at home.

V took Olivia skiing at JH, and Olivia was all smiles despite the fact that V took her down a run that required bushwacking and crossing a small stream:

As V said at the top, “Well, *I* can ski it.”

With no fresh snow, I ate while V skied.

A lot.

With a new storm hitting our favorite mountain, we headed for PowMow.

We stopped in Ogden to see Django with

We then found a spot for Tigger in the PowMow lot

Even though it was only ski in, the breakfast view was nice

As the sun rose we skinned through the pines

Until we topped out 1500′ later on top of our favorite peak

For 4,000′ feet, we had fresh tracks.

We had so much fun, we did it again. To no one’s surprise, we were to the left of most Utahans.

After 3000′ feet of climbing and 8000′ feet of skiing, we got off our last lift at 4:06pm.

We had skied two runs.
